I am wondering what type of security measures have you taken?

I spoke to tenants about the same thing all of you suggested and they agree the discoloration and agreed to take measures to control this.

They go by the date the house was constructed no one is going to go around and measure everyone's bedrooms to make sure they qualify under the new code requirements for bedrooms.

Today's commuters measure distance in commute time not Kilometres , by increasing the efficiency of the commute businesses from the GTA and surrounding areas are attracted into the city due to our affordable land, real estate and large selection of employees.

My plan is to then finish up the house when I return in December.What worked really well on my last rental was to take all the measurements, get estimates and order appliances & supplies ahead of time so that as soon as the house closed the work would be started.

Remember a CAP Rate is the capitalization rate, a quick measurement of risk and is dependent on the NOI which is calculated with vacancy/collections. 

@Stephen E.Here those greater measures are only necessary if the property is zoned/designated a rooming house, boarding house or group home.  

Hi Shital:If you are a PRICE buyer, then cap rate is your measurement stick.
