Always a good idea to drive by and check on your properties once a week when vacant, and make sure that your sign is visibleYou can contact the different agencies; craigslist etc... about the fraud and report the number and/or email associated with the scam,  but I have never seen anything done.

I am not saying Newburgh is hopeless, I am propositioning opening an advertising agency there right now that utilizes urban renewal as a community responsibility action, but those are two wildly different markets.

@Ozzy Smith  very true when I had my RE agency .. everytime a TV flipping show came through we would get the next wave of all hat no cattle buyers blowing up my agents with the same line.I am a cash buyer I can buy 10 homes a month and your going to list them all.I would have them come in for an interview...

Also notify your insurance of course, they look o after His insurance, assuming he actually has a Current policy (copies of insurance/past certificates are not sufficient.....you always need a Current certificate of insurance Directly from the agency/insurance co.

@Heather Castellanoyou may be able to find the groups through the local real estate agencies and or title companiesthe grant programs are outlined at the tax office and the us govt grant site on linethere should also be a small business development center at the college that can get you lined out on the type of entity is required and the status of grantsyou may need a grant writer to get the process started and they can also be found at the collegeenjoy
