I'm going thru tax issues with them now and fighting a water bill that they overcharged me by a few thousand dollars on. 

I do not have a lot of capital to start out with so I am fighting between two ideas.

There are firms out there without legal, underwriting and financial engineering capabilities that will hurt you in the long run.

I was one of the first brokers in Santa Clara county in 1975 to buck the ( have to be a member of car or nar to get MLS)  they fight hard but in the end you don't have to be.And if a buyer wants a house you have listed they are not going to make an offer because of affliation issues.NOw here in Oregon the the brokages that are members require their agents to be members but if I wanted to just be a one man shop I could get MLS only

I know I'm capable of doing the same thing in the same area with the same results, probably be more to invest next time but the returns would be about the same knowing those newbie mistakes I made the first time would be non existent.

Hello DianteIn my location the county website does not offer full title search capability so I go down to the county and run searches, it is free here.

No reason to fight the big guys, just join them.

I then have a good attorney that would go into court for me and fight and or settle the foreclosure case.

This could get quite tedious depending on the search capabilities of the county.  

At some point, I almost wonder whether its worth fighting that though.These HOAs can regulate a lot of stuff and they tend to think they can do anything they want.
