The biggest obstacle in relationships (new or old) is arguments over money.

In my practice, a detached family home is much more desirable, especially with a finished basement, given there is more room for the rest of the "brood". 

I'll assume it's a valid obstacle for some.3) You can argue that it's a good strategy while you wait for an opportunity.

Now, on the other hand if these obstacles don't apply you could apply a myriad strategic ways to either have her removed or clean up her act, literally.I'm thinking public nuisance, you've already stated that after your taking ownership, renters left, we imagine it was because of her.

I have a marginal tenant in a class c property who has just informed me that his single family detached house is infested with bedbugs, and it is going to take thousands of $$$ to get them eradicated.

I thought the problem was behind us.Today, we were over there replacing the water heater and discovered that they had run electric out to the detached garage. 

I'm looking to purchase my first duplex now which comes with a detached 2 car garage.  

So start the search right away and keep an eye on rented units and you just went right around your concern and obstacle.

Also, we are a semi-detached property (corner property) with the bedrooms facing the street side so I don't know if we will hear about neighbor complaints (they are too nice to ever complain around here) but I will keep an ear out to see if anyone hears it besides me.Thanks for the advice guys.

Hi @Ryan Zweng, I started out with a triplex, converted a detached garage, so now that's a 4plex.
