@James Peever a Builders Risk policy covers an unoccupied building while renovations are ongoing against Fire, Theft, etc. 

Hi BP folks - My husband is a contractor/builder primarily works on rehabs and new house builds for others. 

Everything has gone smoothly so far: I purchased the lot for cash, have a builder with an approved house plan and have the appraisal back which is well over the build/lot cost(LTV for the bank would be ~55%).

talk to the builder and his sales representative perhaps they have an in-house lender that can help.

Just closed on a home that took almost 2 years to build from a production builder.   

New home builders in 2004-2005 would have these home communities that would have 300 lots and they would have lotteries.

2 does the builder hold the construction loan or would I?
