In my opinion too many people want to be "in charge" and they lose out on a very powerful asset they have right in front of them which is there employees

Point is that you are taking all the risk and that they have all the power to screw it up.

If they are modern (ish) double glazed, then you might be able to stretch that 2t unit and just shove another duct in.Also, find out if your power company offer any incentives for upgrading a central a/c system.
