Well I think this is something that you and your husband need to discuss further and really dig into what fears/thoughts make him not want to invest in real estate.I am a buy and hold investor and I have had to have these kinds of conversations with my wife as well.What does he mean by he likes liquidity?

Do you have any other tips for going over contracts and how the agreement takes place between a Lender and I?

Further guessing, based on other posts at BP from landlords in the Memphis area regarding such buyers and the properties marketed to them, would have me assume the rent for her property is probably $700-$900/month.  

You never know when that can be the tipping point.
