As a beginner I would imagine an inspection period no shorter than 15 would be sufficient.

With a rental agreement you should be able to refinance a good portion of the price and have bank statements to prove the property is producing sufficient NOI to support the projected debt service.

The site alluded to the liens going to the next bidder if you do not have sufficient funds so I'm assuming you don't actually need the money in the bank account to make the bid (i understand you need the money at some point regardless or you will lose the privilege of bidding in future auctions). 2) when you make your bid and then foreclose on a property, you pay the remainder of taxes/penalties and the full bid price.
