That's the true draw of the android platform for me, I can parlay my knowledge of Java into something that's useful, and I don't have to own an i-Blah or pay developer fees for it.And I don't have to worry about fragmentation, because it works on my phone, and that's plenty for me.If we all keep spreading the good word, soon enough BP will hire an android dev, and then the other 80% of mobile devices on earth may also bask in the glory.Be patient!
