I own a mobile home park, a storage facility, I work a full time construction job, I sell real estate as a licensed broker, I work part time as a teacher, and I have a wife and two young children that I spend time with every day. 

However, I have a small manufacturing facility in Plano Texas that has been running for nearly 13 years. 

I joined BP as a free member about 21 months ago when trying to find something that is flexible since I am medically recovering from a couple issues and have not been working now for alittle over 6 years which I never would have guessed that.   

@Ryan Kinsella, the only way your friend can avoid capital gains on this sale is if he qualifies for one of a very few exceptions to the residency requirement such as a job transfer or medically related reason.  

Then, there's promotion, publicity, insurance, facilities, ...My group is not a REIA, but they do charge for monthly meetings to defray the rent on the facility - it's combined four office suites in a business park with some walls removed.

Most of the college education, in my opinion, is useless, but if there is one area where I value higher education its in medical field.

Is there any reason I can't have 2 "Guest houses, servant quarters, or lodging facilities for caretakers or watchmen" (R-4 zoning rules I am referencing) in a single structure with separate entrances not connected to the largest unit?
