So you would get to continue the depreciation that you carried forward and there would be some addition to depreciable basis as well.Third you can use the 1031 to keep depreciation recapture at bay indefinitely.

Both amounted to what I refer to as 'legal blackmail' where the attorneys settle out of court because it is less costly for the insurer than continuing to trial.

I would then promptly provide my good buddy friend of mine landlord with the receipts as he asked.I am sure that while I was out shopping I will have seen a nice stainless steel refrigerator which will be perfect to replace my soon to be broken/sold one.Oh, and by the way- I will continue to keep paying my rent late without repercussions.
