I would get in those units and make sure they are not trying to burn 100 candles for heat, or close the main water control valve if the building is close to freezing to prevent water damage, or help avoid icy sidewalks and steps, etc.

Electrical was the worst of it (burn marks in the panel where it had been and still was arcing, bad splicing using cheap extension cords to power fans).
