As far as a partner, I have not entertained it - however, I am exploring the possibility of private financing which will assist in substantial upgrades/repairs and account for initial vacancy.

@Dan Falla Your rent to own program is fine, we have much less to worry about here in Canada than they do in the US when it comes to this type of private financing.As for your mortgage dilemma @Roy N. will be far more help than me.

I buy private mortgages through a couple brokers who do an excellent job of doing the vetting and provide solid paper.

It is in a gated community, has a 2 car garage, very private with only a shared garage wall.

What really got me about this is that we just sold about half of Hydro one to private shareholders, so the province really does not benefit in this way at all.
