As a flipper, you will need to know a lot about managing jobs, proper construction techniques, permitting, inspections, building code, etc. 

Looking for recommendations / referrals for a home inspector near the Jersey Shore that has experience with inspecting forclosed home.

With any property pay for an inspection by an independent inspector (ie not one recommended by the seller or the seller's agent). 

Also negotiated upon receipt of inspection report, getting $2K credit from seller, totaling a purchase price of $112K.

I'm not worried about it actually passing inspections, but I'd rather not deal with the city bureaucracy, fees, and inspections unless necessary. 

Screen them the same way, do scheduled property inspections and you should have a good experience. 

It’s looking like I’ll be able to pick this property up for about 230k but after inspecting the home it’ looks like it will need about 40k to get it to the 310-330k price range.
