If it was an incredible deal and if the seller could assure the issues with the gas/heat on that one unit were ok I would have had the inspector inspect the rest of the property as is and that particular units gas line etc.

A number of brands used in the past have failed so if it is one of them youll know not to attempt a fix.If its radiant hot water there should be a boiler.

That means 8 roofs, 8 foundations, 8 interior units that need painting, 8 exteriors that need painting, 8 units that might need carpet/vinyl/tile, 8 hot water heaters or a single boiler, 8 AC or evaporative coolers (if there are coolers, have there been leaks?)

For the HVAC it is a hot water/stream baseboard, and the units have wall A/C units in them (so tenant pays for usage of them with electricity).
