New Investor in Dallas

Hello BP Community,

I’m a new investor who just moved to the Dallas/Fort Worth area a couple of weeks ago from the northeast. I’m originally from Houston and my family has lived in Dallas for 20 years, so I’m somewhat familiar with the region. I’ve spent the past six months listening to the BP podcasts, reading all of the guides and recommended books (including J Scott’s), and learning as much as I could before I arrived in town. Now that I’m here, I’m ready to jump in! The keyword alerts have been a big help, and I'm constantly amazed at how much great information is available on this site.

My long-term strategy is to acquire a rental property portfolio for passive income. In the meantime I’m looking for other potential ways to build capital through fix-and-flip, wholesaling, or other creative financing.

I know I still need to narrow down both my area of focus and neighborhood. I’m hoping to network with as many local investors as possible over the new few weeks before I decide on a specific niche. Feel free to drop me a line if you’d like to connect.

I look forward to joining all of you in the DFW market!

Chad

I see a lot of investors are turning to notes in the DFW area.
