So look on your closing documents it should be clear.I turned over security deposits as a credit on closing and then he had to set those funds aside. but that was not considered income.

Ok sounds simple enough get authorization from seller to check mortgage , is this authorization permission added to your contract or is it a seperate document in itself from the specific lender that was used?
