And if it turns out the seller mis-represented the numbers that you based your offer to purchase on, or left important things like a crumbling foundation off of seller disclosures, that you discover during the inspection period, those are all valid good faith causes for renegotiation.

The broker that was working with me was discussing a deal from his last client to his boss right in front of me.The real shocker is when he asked me to sign a disclosure before even showing me a property.

Also their security deposit should have transferred to you as new owner in closing or been part of the closing fee disclosure, so you show it on account for them.
