Only if they cause damage and were sent to collections for non payment.

When you go to apply in 6 months, they'll see you have maxed out your debt to credit line utilization of a whopping 60k, which will cause your credit score to take a hit and possibly jeapordize whether they approve you for a refi or not, or affect your interest rate they offer you at the very least.

Not so frustrating if they are part of the light fixture;  worse if they've damaged the fan starter. 

We have put screws in through carpet before, it will damage it some, though you won't see the damage unless you do a real poor job.

They completely over paid in the first round of FIT and MicroFIT, and in general have been causing energy prices to increase at ridiculous rates both due to bad policy and mismanagement.

Yep, Wayne got it right, HOA lien doesn't get wiped out, and they can come in without a lien and ask for money, and you have to be careful cause some of them add a ton of fees in when they aren't supposed to also. checkout Florida "super lien" statues

He gets 300K after expenses say, keeps the $100K cause thats all he wants, gives you a $200K downpayment  for another house somewhere?

Just don't respond to him if he does that...even if he ends up threatening damage to the unit or to sue you or something silly.
