If it's a 75 year old bungalow or appartment building in the center city, yes, I'd make those calls.I don't think there is such as thing as too much due diligence expecially for newbies.

You can always go to one or two meetings as well and then decide if it is beneficial for you.I'm not crazy about the meeting content, but the opportunity to meet people in various stages of investing can be a great resource.
