But how do I know if the guy promoting it was legit or just trying to make a dollar?

If you just put a listing/zillow lead under contract, then promote it as a wholesale deal with same exact terms plus a wholesale fee, you will just annoy people.

I personally steer clear of Angie's List, Yelp, BP Vendor, Dave Ramsey Select Vendors, or any other service that charges the vendor for membership and then promotes the list to the public as if trust, excellence, and performance have ANYTHING to do with the list selection. 

And you telling me "hey DMM works" tells me and the world NOTHING.Show data and we can have an awesome conversation on lead generation and figure out ways to improve it.I am NOT selling my SEO services nor am I promoting them. 

If the speaker shows you palm trees, blue water (swimming pools or beaches) and expensive cars and promises you never ending sources of secret deals and niche investment opportunities, you probably have just discovered the promoters of the gurus of real estate.Before you pay the full annual fee, show up and check it out for one night.
