Beyond a local CU or bank the next best way to find a suitable location is probably a referral from your RE broker or listing broker.

I find my contractors all through referrals. 

More important than a celebrity endorsement is a referral by “students” who’ve been through the workshop and can vouch for its usefulness.2.

Perhaps being new to the area, you are running into more problems because you don't have the benefit of referrals that you had in CA.

The best reward for a job well done is more work and referrals.
