If you're looking to save heating costs in the future I recommend installing a locking thermostat, or a thermostat that only goes up to a certain temperature. 

Ring doorbell, Nest Thermostat, (I forget the brand but) smart wall plugs/light switches got A LOT of attention in our latest rental and cost very little.

Can be dealt with by having a smart thermostat monitor inside temps and notify you if something is wrong. 

I’ll see if I can hook up a line on my furnace to get the fan running on my thermostat and forget about spending $5k on AC and replacing the furnace.  

I‘ve replaced both thermostats with smart thermostats to make sure it wasn’t the thermostats.

ANYTHING with 97 in the price seems to be a scam Hahaha.Might be nice to have a BP group that decodes the guru programmes.  

Updated the thermostat system to be Wifi accessible.
