Unless you have a pre-existing relationship (or meet some other exemptions), if their number is on the Do Not Call list, this is very illegal.

You can use "general solicitation" for an offering organized under the rule 506(c) but under that rule you are only allowed to accept accredited investors, and the sponsor has the responsibility to verify that the investors subscribing are actually accredited (not just taking their word for it).Offerings organized under rule 506(b) can accept non-accredited investors if there is a "pre-existing relationship" with the investor and the sponsor has not used any general solicitation for the offering.

If they are running under 506B then they usually have to have a pre-existing relationship with you via a phone call or other means, and then may have a questionnaire for you to fill out.

Also the common theme was modest construction (prefabricated like Aframe or cottage).Historically in the area it has been better to buy preexisting ( though now there is no inventory).

I personally think this is a reasonable compromise as there will be preexisting WRB present around the sides and bottom of the frame.Jonathan, the siding is brick so I assume that there will be minimal banging on the walls except where the ties are involved.
