If it is affixed to the land it is real estate, if not it is a vehicle  (check local laws) and depreciates like a vehicle.

You could certainly find an investment vehicle that would pay more than what my bank pays in interest. 

The 50A breaker on 8ga wire is surprising, and from my experience incorrect. 8ga wire should be protected by no more than a 40A breaker (unless dealing with certain loads like motors... but that doesn’t apply).
