there's no "BP failure" show where they interview people who gave up. =)mentorship - i believe that you don't really go "find" a mentor, you just build a network, and if you're lucky, you'll get mentored. 

Interview the different brokers and find the one with the least charges to you. 

@Stephanie Younger I am a national development director and have interviewed and screened literally hundreds of contractors for virtually any and all trades that you could possibly imagine.  

And that one risk, is the same one that landed me a job with a local investment bank when I penned a letter directly to the chairman of the board ripping apart his old school view on education after an interview that aired on public television.April 2010: After rising thru the ranks at the bank, I realized the investment banking culture was too cutthroat, and simply not right for me. 

I don't mind paying for the work, but not $300 JUST to meet someone to interview them. 

The biggest turnoff I experienced when interviewing brokers, was how many of them just expected you to hammer your own personal sphere, bugging them to refer you or sell/buy with you as a newbie.
