You are 19, and there are some people who will try to take advantage of you (take your money), so be careful and only partner with someone you trust.At 19 partnering might be hard, you are young, and inexperienced, hard but not impossible.Maybe you can earn and learn with sweat equity working with a partner who knows the ropes, doing remods, roofing, painting, cabnet installs, as well as learning the financial end of things...Don't work for free, your labor is valuable and Abraham Lincoln freed the slaves, get a percent of the property ownership for your efforts.And beware of those who will swindle you based on your age and inexperience--every smiling face is not your friend.Good Luck!

The analysis required is different and much more complex; the passive investors attracted to these deals are much more sophisticated and experienced; the lenders are much more demanding in experience requirements, sophistication of business plan and scrutiny of the property.

@Bryan Devitt Hi Bryan, due to my inexperience, I may be misunderstanding, but are you saying that if you were to hire an outside worker to complete a kitchen remodel, you don't ask them to complete any tax paperwork on the front end?

Hey @Andrew Postell I was able to purchase property through standard Loan with an A lender.When applying for the mortgage, I was all over the place, I mentioned to my broker I would need a mortgage+reno product, she advised me should not be an issue..Due to my inexperience and negligence closed on the property with just a standard loan.
