Generally speaking, you'll still pay as much to demo, as hauling off the debris is the expensive part (and it's unlikely the fire department will do that for you)...The benefit is that you may get a tax benefit by donating the house to the jurisdiction for use -- of course, it will depend on whether it is "safe" to burn the house down for training purposes or not.

Also in the old days we needed a big luxury type car as you had to haul them around along.. this no longer happens you just meet at the property in your respective cars..

It's our experience that, while it makes your net worth look good on paper, the first 25% equity in property is pretty much invested for the long haul, either until the property value increases dramatically or until the tenants pay down the mortgage enough to make it worth the cost of the loan to get your money back out.

I have not seen the job they did today (which involved tearing off and hauling away all of these supposed 8 roofs) as I got called to work, and the roofer is coming back tomorrow to finish the job.
