Brokers don't want you contacting a borrower, or note holder, for good reason, but I'd forget their reason under a commitment as now you'll have the right to audit, communication will be a very delicate matter too.

It is a roll of the dice for those putting themselves out there at this stage of the game for the most part and a delicate balancing act for the ones that are.

However, there still needs to be a delicate balance between the sponsor being adequately compensated for facilitating the investment & the investors being rewarded for risking their capital.
