HOWEVER, the loan officer that I am working with told me that in order to close on the investment property I have to return to my civilian occupation and show them my first paycheck before I will be allowed to close on any property.

Hi Bryan L please don't make the same mistake we did by listening to Steve Haight he referred us to a Linda Labbe that totally scammed us for a property in ohio that was supposed to be totally rehabbed a year ago it is still not inhabitable.

I included in additional clause "Tenant acknowledged that even though they will not physically inhabit the home until they return from deployment (after the lease effective date) they are still responsible for the terms and provisions in this agreement."

We have fixed up every house we have lived in and moved to take advantage of the tax benefits to military (can obtain tax-free gains from an owner occupied house that you live in for 2 out of 10 years, rather than the 5 that civilians get).
