I am an owner in a condominium complex at a coastal location in NC.

-If the the investment is condominium, generally 40% of  IRA funds are required.

For practical purposes this means any upgrades you do to your unit above the most basic features (vinyl and carpeted floor, discount appliances, etc.) must be insured by your condominium unit owners policy.

The fact that this property has a triplex and home one it makes it difficult to finance, but I figured it out.MY QUESTION: I was thinking of turning the single family home into a condominium so I can sell it separately.  

I was recently pre-approved for a mortgage on a 2bd 1 bath condominium close to NYC.

You also will need good legal counsel for preparation of your declarations, counsel on complying with the NC planned community act (or fNC condominium act if you go with condos) and assistance with financing.

@Alex LaBelleThis depends - many condominium buildings have sub-associations such as commercial, master, parking, etc.

Would you rent your condominium or any property to a tenant who says upfront that they have no credit history but can show pay stubs that they could afford the rent?
