REI Financing for Retirement Accounts

Hello BP Community!

I'm a new member to BP community and have no experience in REI. I'd like to transfer 50% of my retirement savings invested in stock market to real estate investment for passive income from rentals, buy and hold, in the next 5 years. I have a few questions regarding financing the purchase of rental properties through retirement accounts. I'd appreciate any information, advice and suggestions. Thanks!

  • Is there any limitation to obtain a loan for a self-directed IRA account?
  • What if the self-directed IRA account is a checkbook IRA LLC entity?
  • Is there any limitation to obtain a loan for an ROTH IRA account?
  • Is it possible to obtain a loan from a local lender (CA) for properties out of states?
  • Any recommendations of good lenders that accept non-recourse loans?
