Not to mention the new mandate by Citizens insurance for those covered by citizens insurance to keep flood insurance even if their property is are NOT in a flood zone.

I am sure this is an attempt to keep investors from using their long term financing for flips, they don't actually want the extra interest, this is punitive to discourage nonconforming use of the product.

Not that I'm aware of with any of my landlord clients - if there's a government shutdown that could be a possibility, but the payments will always be prorated for any missed payments.City wouldn't intentionally delay payment once you're setup and "in the system"... they want to keep any voucher tenants housed and out of shelters.

I did know someone who rented a property and then airbnb'd it out (with the owner's permission) and split the profits (keeping most).

Right now I am in the study and evaluation phase and I may not need the TSP loan by the time I get to the first deal, but just trying to soak in the pro and cons of all options.Your feedback is definitely some strong food for thought on why it might be preferrable to avoid a TSP loan or keep it as a last resort when I am sure I can pay it back quickly.Thanks again for the thoughtful comment.Sincerely,Joe
