I have also known lots of condo projects to not have had a special assessment in over 20 yrs.Condos prices are also more depressed in price right now than SFR's or units b/c of the financing issues associated with them.

The best I have found is private money with tough terms: 50% down, 5-7 year terms and am schedules, 9-12% interest.

But, if you feel inflation is around the corner, it's tough to keep reserves in 100% cash.If I could place cash in an interest bearing account I probably wouldn't be holding a percentage in silver.
