Kurt Defenbaugh Structuring SFH Entities to Minimize Liability
8 November 2018 | 22 replies
Here are my opinions about the subject after speaking to numerous clients and investors about the subject:LLCs (if they are run properly and you keep everything separate) do provide a measure of protection and they are worth the trouble (when you reach a certain point).Basically, when you are starting out, probably keeping it out of LLCs and getting lots of insurance coverage will get you better loan terms (as the other posters have already outlined and as you figured out as well). However, at some point, you should anticipate the need (and desire) to switch over to puttin your future investments (but not your past ones) into LLCs.LLCs are also important if you are bringing in outside investors.

John Peden Property Listing Tool
6 November 2018 | 2 replies
I'm a web developer, based in the UK, and have been contacted by a couple of realtors asking for help with a property listing tool for their website. It seems to be a common problem for realtors but digging through the forums here I've noticed that there seems to be a range of opinions as to whether or not this is actually a good idea.I'm aware that there might be 'off-the-shelf' solutions or less than ideal solutions that you can clobber together via a WordPress plugin or using blog posts but I wondered if the market could be better served with a dedicated solution to this problem...if it exists!
