Hello BP family,I'm buying my first duplex in Baltimore City MD The building is zoned as single-family and has the Use and Occupancy permit for 2 dwellings.My wife and I will live in one unit and rent the other one,I'm not getting any success when I get in touch with insurance agents to get my homeowners insurance, they are very confused as far if I need 2 separate insurance policy because the building has 2 dwelling units or if I need one policy for the entire building.Besides that, I'm getting exorbitant quotes, Someone here have any suggestions where to get a quote and how homeowners insurance works for duplexes?

This house was built in 2009 and is instantly my most renovated property in the portfolio.

Everyone has opinions and also there are some people that think if the buy its an instant ticket to riches.  

He is offering a "Vacant Property Quote" which covers 80% of the ARV (ARV is 130,000) for the dwelling and $300K liability, 3 month term and it is fully earned, for almost $800.This is my first flip, but this seems pretty expensive to me for a 3 month policy.
