We currently do some joint ventures with investors outside the USA that want to flip homes in Florida...They fund, we find, purchase, rehab, relist and sell.This might be something worth exploring as you have the benefit of local feet on the street and local knowledge of the neighborhoods and markets.

So distance is something to consider also if you do end up doing any of the work.My recommendation would to definitely go ahead and get multiple quotes and explore those options.

I think that people on this forum often answer questions without exploring the details.  

I'm going to be exploring northern California over the next few weeks with an eye toward finding a small multi-family buy and hold.
