I've known people that are so excited to learn about the EB5 path to citizenship (and plan to maintain dual citizenship) after they had lost all hope , still waiting in their home countries...on 16 year wait lists--&  still waiting!!

You can learn a lot of good things from a company like the major commercial agencies CBRE/JLL/M&M/C&W/Colliers etc. and is extremely valuable to building a solid network.Obviously getting a university education costs money so that's a big consideration.

. * Tougher to get through if your income/credit/asset situation is wonky, because you're trying to qualify for a mortgage by going through a glorified debt collections agency call center type setup (what is mortgage loan servicing, but that?)

You'll need to interview agents and find one who is willing to support the type of investing you want to do and you'll have to sign an agency agreement with them for them to work on your behalf. 

Are their building/housing code enforcement agencies in the areas you're buying?
