I'd love to be on the opposite side of that.One thing I heard from a real estate agent is that some of those guys have already pressed the button but are going strictly off-market to prevent people knowing their selling publicly and to cause that glut. 

The slope has probably been there for decades, so the real question is whether or not the slope is causing any problems.

I'm renting to a tenant I know personally so they're unlikely to cause problems for me.  

This causes these properties to sit on the market longer, and eventually sell for a lower sales price than they are actually worth.

It's common for the initial repair to have a warranty, but that doesn't usually cover the damage caused by any settling or the second repair.It's important to address the cause of the foundation issues.

I'm pretty sure that if you ask OpenDoor, they'll have some spokesperson say that all is fine but then again, they really can't come out and say that they are bleeding red (they have to say that they are ok) or else this will cause panic amongst their investors which will lead to a drain on their funds. 

(This home has only been owned by 1 person.)Since there is possibility that I may refinance this home after purchase and also may end up selling it at another, I'm concerned this will come back to cause me issues later on.My concerns are 2 fold. 1.

If you borrow against a HELOC to purchase an investment, that borrowed money will count against your debt and could cause you to be over-leveraged.

I'm a bit concerned about the unit not being able to rent for the  same amount as before, did something happen in the market to cause this? 

Regarding attempting to cancel the redemption, I strongly suggest you let the SDAT process run its course or you'll cause issues regarding the insured deed of trust and thus the refinance itself.
