Can someone recommend an attorney that knows Fort Bend County land law?

The rental income won't qualify as your source of income until you've had two years of landlord experience. 

So, during my search for creative ways to make deals a friend mentioned that his landlord, at the mobile home park where he lives, wants to retire and sell his park.

The landlord came to me to see if I wanted to purchase the property because he has some health issues and wants to sell off.

The rent you make from the rental unit barely makes a dent in the huge mortgage payment and then I become a landlord when I barely have enough free time between my family and job as it is.

There are many tests that need to be conducted to ensure the land is not contaminated (the tanks always leak).

@Jon Jaffe, have you considered selling the property to another investor on a land contract?

This assures the highest percentage of hassle free land lording, in my opinion.

I can proudly announced that I close on my first rental and I'm now a landlord.
