(Google online how to do that.)On the county's GIS, you can find out lots of information about the land...like the actual acreage, parcel shape, you can look for any recorded easements or environmental health permits, etc.

I will say that the demand for traveling health care professionals has been dwindling so I would check with the local hospitals etc to see if they are still using them before plunking down the hard cashola.So my personal take on mid term rentals vs short term rentals is either/or but not both.

In CA, you are legally required to accept the first qualified applicant.The 2+1 rule will generally keep you in compliance in CAHUD is 2 per  bedroomThe federal health department is a bit more complicated.Last time I checked it was 70sqft for 2people and then 50sqft per additional person  (Do not count bathrooms and hallways)

Then if they are seeing that the roach problem is not going away due to the tenant not following through with their end of the bargain I give start giving lease violations for "effecting the health and safety" of other tenants because you are now making your problem their problem :) Hope that helps!
