I also like to ask about their worst experience as a property manager and how they handled it.

I’ve read quite a bit about the demographic challenges that parts of the Maritimes face so I wouldn’t expect significant price appreciation in the foreseeable future, but I’ve always focused more on the cash flow and viewed any appreciation as a bonus.

@Luis Valdez  Why not just hire a professional manager who already handles all that for you?

Sorry this is months late however I'm jumping back on track now after months of learning ,working to pay my bills & exhausted burnt out Life Challenges! 

There are always surprises and new challenges to deal with, which is why I love it!

I know you probably don't like that .. but that's how I have handled it when I am a seller and the buyer defaults for no good reaons day or two before the close and I wont release it.. but I usually have 5 to 10k EM deposits.. so if I get half and they get half that satisfies me..

A HELOC may not be the best solution for you but we handle mixed use refi all the time
