And I simply do not have time to join the HOA board to have any influence of my own.I know there are a lot of investors that really like condos due to the simplification of exterior maintenance.

No I have not, I was just seeking out some general advice, or possibly something to just boost up my moral.

@Ana HowardI'm not an asset manager, but in my experience,  an LLC doesn't give you any advantage.Inspection periods, deposit amounts, closing dates, and credibility I would say are the only things that would influence a decisions on comparable amounts.Buying in bulk would obviously help your case, too.

My property was a cash flow play, I just thought that the casino coming in can be nice icing on the top if it really boosts the city's local economy (or it can drop my value, who knows lol). 

While the value can, and typically will, influence the price, the converse is not true.  

Bottom line, you really lose a lot of control investing in condos...mainly because the HOA has so much influence on whether or not your property is a successful investment.  

At this thankful time of year, it is important to remember the influence bigger pockets has had in our business development.
