Face-to-face interaction goes a long way and it lets your future mentor connect to you in a deeper level.

Many times they offer RE licensing classes, and these can better for what you are looking for, in that you have the opportunity to interact in person with an instructor, as opposed to just book reading, online.I took an appraisal class from my local Junior College because I wanted to learn what the appraisers were being taught, so I could get into their frame of mind when evaluating my deals.Brian

Matching and mirroring is something that I try to practice on a daily basis with my interactions with everyone I come into contact with.

This is because I have a web development firm so interaction is limited, I don't do the development and actually have no desire to, considering I hate being stuck sitting all day.

I can attest that Greg Stanley's ATLASS is an excellent networking and educational association, with the ability to interact with Greg, other attorneys, and other resources one-on-one and evaluate their value as your potential partners or professionals.
