Our property manager recommended a system like a PTAC (Similar to a hotel system) but you would have to cut through the exterior block wall which I'm not a fan of.  

Think travel/tourism companies that have been hit hard (cruises, airlines, hotels, Disney, etc.).

It doesn't take too many powerful people with hotels losing a lot of money to get a law passed. 

You would also have to take into account the LV strip rates (certain times of the year some hotels like Treasure Island, etc are 18/night and your airbnb price may have to compete with those prices alongside competing with other airbnbs in the area).3) Joshua Tree would have great seasonal returns from airbnb.

You should have put her in a hotel for the day if you wanted to do this job.

Don't forget you can claim 1/2 the cost of meals since it sounds like you went somewhere overnight as well as the actual travel costs (Flight and hotel room)
