I hopped on this thread to add my two cents, but saw @Chris Coleman had already given a comprehensive answer. 

Research, check reviews, and interview a handful of turnkey companies before settling on one to work with. 

If you are not experienced with real estate contracts in Canada, here is my advice...You should be working with a lawyer to have contract of purchase and sale paperwork drawn up properly (or at least review to make sure you are not putting yourself in an unfavourable situation) and have a template for going forward or be working with a realtor.

Comprehensive reviews from research and information giants that compile metrics have also supported the strong potential for the overall trend to persist. 

When I get the alert/email that something just hit the market, I review the home and most importantly the area. 

Have phase 1 architecture drawings/site plan that have been informally reviewed/okayed by local building inspector.

The process and requirements will be laid out in the loan docs so you need to get that from the seller and have your attorney review it.
