The lender says underwriting might give us a hard time with the large fee attached to the contract.

It's hard not to get attached to properties we lose out on, especially if the numbers work well.

What I know about the market in the area is: If it has an ohana unit attached to the house (a duplex with a studio (the ohana could be build below the elevated house in this example) and a larger segment of the house, in this example the 3-2 that is already built), it's a money maker for buy-and-hold, and a hot item on any homebuyers list.I won't be able to purchase anything until May of 2021 in order to honor my agreement for primary occupancy of my current condo.

Also realize that you probably still will have the loan attached to the person who signed, so I am just not sure how much benefit you'd get? 

I am looking at buying a large commercial property 20k sqft building with 2 retail spots attached and a studio apartment attached as well.
