Early this year my wife and I sold an apartment for a nice profit (we bought cash and lived in it for 1.5yrs) and it took me few months to realize... maybe we can repeat it (buy a broken house/apartment, fix it and sell it) but we should educate ourselves better after I failed miserable in the hype of 2005-07 Real Estate bubble and credit is no so good.

Welcome @Collette Douglas BP is a great resource full of knowledgeable people While you look for a mentoer - One tip that I picked up here is while you are saving money for your investments, start driving / visiting areas you would like to invest in so you get a feel for prices, rents , house conditions etc, and visit and look at lots of homes and open houses so your eye get used to looking at repairs / upgrades that are normal in a particular market.

its actually cloudy right now if you can believe that, but the sun will be out soon, it always does.I'm a new-ish investor with a couple of properties under my belt and I'm itching for a new project as I've run out of things to remodel on my own house.I'm addicted to projects and I love fixing up the once broken and making it gorgeous.I'm always on the hunt for my next fixer upper and am eager to learn all I can from this community.Ben...here is my latest project...

I called them yesterday to upgrade my plan since it was a no brainer.
