@Jason Rector,My answer would be that you can rail against the system or make it work to your advantage.Depending on your skills as a negotiator, your portfolio may eventually reach the size where you can negotiate a fee based structure rather than percentages.

Also I would add that I'm not sure you having legal standing to send notice to quit / vacate if you are not yet the owner and/ or haven't closed.I am a lawyer by trade and I always say - get a lawyer :) Good luck!
