And while this probably doesn't happen very often...say you wrote several letters to many different property owners all at once to increase your chances of getting a response...what do you say in the event that multiple owners come back to you but only have the capacity/desire to purchase one property (the property would be a vacation rental to hold for the long term, not a property strictly for fix and flip purposes)Just curious what your process is since it seems you have quite some experience with this strategy.

I was the one who had to do the running around to various places to get this warrant processed (the clerk of court, then our local law enforcement office) but it was cheap to process this ($10) and eventually the woman (I made it out on her since she was the one with the steady job) was arrested (perhaps picked up on a routine traffic stop and her history showed an outstanding warrant on her).You might check to see if you can do any of this as long as you do the "legwork".Gail

In hearing that the tenant was leaving on peaceful terms, the owner agreed to let her remain until September....Not sure how this ties into the story, but the following month (July 2104) the tenant filed for bankruptcy. ...A few months later (October 2014) during a routine walk-through, the owner noticed that there was a mattress in the house.
